Ingredients:
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon fillets
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Salmon:
– In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, garlic powder, and black pepper.
– Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Turn the salmon to coat it evenly.
– Cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a stronger flavor.
2. Preheat the Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
3. Prepare the Baking Dish:
– Lightly grease a baking dish with the olive oil.
4. Bake the Salmon:
– Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it in the prepared baking dish. Discard the remaining marinade.
– Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
5. Serve:
– Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
– Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
