Ingredients
- 8 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (for marinating beef)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 packs fresh or frozen udon noodles
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef
- In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Prepare the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
- Cook the Noodles
- Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Beef
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Broccoli
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets with a splash of water. Stir-fry until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
- Combine Everything
- Add the cooked beef and udon noodles to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over everything and toss well to combine, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well-coated in the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
