Air Fryer Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and other desired toppings
  • Condiments: ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    • Mix gently until just combined. Overmixing can make the burgers tough.
    • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Patties:
    • Place the burger patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your burgers more or less done.
  4. Add Cheese (Optional):
    • If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
  5. Toast the Buns:
    • While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the Burgers:
    • Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun.
    • Add your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions.
    • Spread your preferred condiments on the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve the air fryer burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.

Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make Air Fryer Burgers.
