Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and other desired toppings
- Condiments: ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.
Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef Patties:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix gently until just combined. Overmixing can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Cook the Patties:
- Place the burger patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your burgers more or less done.
- Add Cheese (Optional):
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
- Toast the Buns:
- While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Assemble the Burgers:
- Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun.
- Add your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions.
- Spread your preferred condiments on the top half of the bun.
- Serve:
- Serve the air fryer burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.
