Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ½ cup pimentos, drained and chopped
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- Butter or cooking spray, for greasing
Instructions
- Make the Pimento Cheese:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, chopped pimentos, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Prepare the Bread:
- Spread a generous amount of the pimento cheese mixture on two slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
- Butter the Bread:
- Lightly butter the outside of each sandwich or spray them with cooking spray for a golden finish.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Air Fry the Sandwiches:
- Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve:
- Remove the sandwiches from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy on their own!
