Air Fryer Italian Sausage

Ingredients:

Italian Sausages: 4 links (mild or hot, depending on your preference)
Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon (optional, for extra crispiness)
Salt and Pepper: to taste (optional)
Herbs or Spices: (optional, such as Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes)

Instructions:

1. Preheat Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

2. Prepare Sausages:
If the sausages are linked together, cut them apart.
Optionally, you can lightly brush or spray the sausages with olive oil for extra crispiness and flavor.
Season with salt, pepper, or any other herbs and spices if desired.

3. Cook the Sausages:
Place the sausages in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
Cook at 360°F (180°C) for 9-12 minutes, turning the sausages halfway through the cooking time. The exact time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the sausages and your specific air fryer model.

4. Check for Doneness:
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the sausages have reached an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). The sausages should be browned on the outside and cooked through on the inside.

5. Rest and Serve:
Let the sausages rest for a few minutes after cooking. This allows the juices to redistribute and keeps them juicy.
