Baked Asian Rockfish

Ingredients:
– 2 lbs rockfish fillets
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
– 1 tablespoon honey
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
– 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
– 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional for spice)
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced
– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
– Fresh cilantro, for garnish
– Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Prepare the Marinade:
– In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, hoisin sauce, and sriracha (if using).

3. Marinate the Fish:
– Place the rockfish fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Pour the marinade over the fish, making sure to coat each fillet evenly. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the fish.

4. Bake the Fish:
– Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

5. Garnish and Serve:
– Once the fish is done, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.

6. Serve:
– Serve the baked Asian rockfish with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
