Ingredients:
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 3 1/2 cups water (or substitute some with milk for a creamier texture)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional add-ins:
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings (optional):
- Fresh berries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts, chia seeds, or a sprinkle of brown sugar
Instructions:
- Prepare the Oats:
- Add the steel-cut oats, water, and salt to the Instant Pot. Stir in any optional add-ins like cinnamon or vanilla if desired.
- Pressure Cook:
- Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to “Sealing.”
- Set to Manual or Pressure Cook on High for 4 minutes.
- Natural Release:
- Once the cooking time is complete, let the Instant Pot naturally release pressure for 10-15 minutes. After that, release any remaining pressure manually by turning the valve to “Venting.”
- Stir and Serve:
- Open the lid and give the oats a good stir to reach a creamy consistency. Adjust sweetness with maple syrup or honey if desired.
- Add Toppings:
- Spoon the oats into bowls and add your favorite toppings, like berries, nuts, or a sprinkle of brown sugar.
