Ingredients:
2-3 cinnamon sticks
4 cups water
1-2 tablespoons honey (or to taste, optional)
1-2 slices of orange or lemon (optional, for added flavor)
A few cloves (optional, for extra spice)
Milk (optional, for a creamy version)
Instructions:
1. Boil the Water:
In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
2. Add the Cinnamon:
Once the water is boiling, add the cinnamon sticks. If you’re using cloves and/or citrus slices, add them to the pot as well.
3. Simmer:
Reduce the heat and let the cinnamon sticks simmer for about 10-15 minutes. The longer you simmer, the stronger the cinnamon flavor will be.
4. Sweeten (Optional):
If you like your tea sweetened, stir in honey to taste once you’ve removed the pot from the heat.
5. Strain and Serve:
Remove the cinnamon sticks (and cloves or citrus slices, if used) from the saucepan. Pour the tea into cups or mugs.
6. Add Milk (Optional):
For a creamy version, you can stir in a splash of milk or a dollop of cream.
