Waldorf Salad

Ingredients:
2 large apples (Granny Smith or any tart variety)
1 cup grapes (red or green), halved if large
1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
1/4 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt (optional, for a lighter dressing)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Wash and core the apples. Cut them into bite-sized chunks. If you want to prevent browning, you can toss them with a bit of lemon juice.
Wash and halve the grapes if they are large.
Chop the walnuts and dice the celery.

2. Make the Dressing:
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt (if using), and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Combine the Salad:
In a large bowl, combine the apple chunks, grapes, walnuts, and celery.
Gently fold in the dressing until everything is well coated.

4. Serve:
You can serve the Waldorf Salad on its own or over a bed of lettuce leaves for extra freshness.
